FinaMetrica decided to standardise the single-user annual fee for all new and existing FinaMetrica subscribers in South Africa from R3500 to R3850 with effect from 1 March 2015.
The South African subscription price is well below our pricing in other parts of the world, even after taking the value of the South African Rand into account. For example, the Australian single-user annual fee is $1089, which equates to R9706 at the current exchange rate.
This 10% increase is the first since its launch in South Africa in November 2010, and is largely driven by rising costs, and to ensure that FinaMetrica’s business remains sustainable, their pricing system equitable and to enable further investment in the tool set.
We also agreed with the Institute of Behavioral Finance to accommodate our current subscribers as far as possible. Please read the following carefully to understand how this arrangement may benefit you:
- 1st YEAR RENEWALS: The good news is that those subscribers renewing for the first time will not incur an increase until 2016.
- FOR NON-CONVERSIONS: If you are considering subscribing, but have not yet done so, we would urge to you take advantage of the saving available if you subscribe before 1stMarch 2015 whereby you will still pay the old subscription price. - CURRENT MOONSTONE ALLIANCE SUBSCRIBERS – For Moonstone Alliance partners, the increase is only 10% of your old subscription price. In other words, For Moonstone alliance subscribers, we have increased the renewal fee to R3080.00 per subscription, representing a 20% discount on the standard price.
Please bear in mind that these changes come into effect from 1 March 2015.
