When last did you look at your licence document? You know, the one displayed against your wall, flanked by your RE1 and RE 5 certificates?
Many people, when they first applied, added everything, including the kitchen zinc, to their licences – just in case.
As things currently stand, you will have to write a level 2 RE for each category listed on your licence, if you do not have an approved qualification that exempts you.
Before you discard everything, there is something else to consider. Should you, at a later stage, wish to reinstate a category you now discard, you will only be able to do so if you have an approved full qualification for that category.
