Moonstone Compliance will host two free employment law webinars in November on investigating misconduct and poor performance.
Both webinars will be presented by Andrea de Jongh, Moonstone Compliance’s privacy governance and employment law specialist.
The webinar on investigating misconduct takes place on Wednesday, 8 November, from 10am to 11.30am.
Managers and HR professionals need to understand when workplace investigations are required and how to conduct them. You must be able to distinguish between when unacceptable behaviour must be addressed through a conversation to “clear the air”, a reprimand, or a disciplinary interview versus a disciplinary hearing. Getting it wrong can give rise to a multitude of legal and commercial risks, including unfair dismissal, reputational damage, and the indirect cost of productive time lost.

The webinar will equip you to investigate and prepare for disciplinary hearings effectively, conduct interviews, and have difficult conversations in-between. You will be provided with tools you can integrate into your disciplinary policy to enable you to investigate unacceptable behaviour and have those difficult conversations.
The training is aimed at supervisors, managers, and HR professionals who are responsible for enforcing workplace culture and initiating disciplinary interviews or hearings, and at representatives of employees.

The webinar on investigating poor performance will be held on Wednesday, 22 November, from 10am to 11.30am.
Poor performance can be detrimental to the workplace culture and well-being. It negatively impacts on team morale, leading to employee turnover, loss of productivity, and profitability.
The webinar will equip you with the knowledge and skills to manage poor performers step by step. You will be provided with tools that will enable you to identify and approach poor performers, understand the steps and conversations to have with them to attempt to improve their performance, and ascertain when it’s time to end the process.
At the end of the webinar, line managers will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to proactively manage and root out performance and attendance problems.
Supervisors, team leaders, first line managers, and middle managers will benefit from attending this webinar.
Click here to register. Registration closes on 20 November.
No CPD hours have been allocated for attending either webinar.
