Last week, the Regulator sent a reminder to all registered FSPs regarding the above.
- In terms of the provisions of Section 19 of the FAIS Act, all authorised Financial Services providers (“FSPs”) are required to submit their financial statements to the FSB on an annual basis.
- These annual financial statements are required to be submitted to the Registrar within 4 months of the FSPs financial year end.
For most FSPs, their financial year ends on 28 February 2015, which means that they have to submit their annual financial statements for 2015 no later than 30 June 2015.
If you did not receive this reminder, it is very likely that your contact details in the records of the Regulator are not up to date. You need to urgently investigate and rectify this, as failure to this is viewed quite seriously by the FSB.
