The FSCA has told all licensed non-life insurers that belong to the National Ombud Scheme (NFO) to provide the Authority with the number of personal lines claims reported in 2024.
The NFO’s annual report includes details of the number of personal line claims reported in the most recent calendar year. The FSCA supports the NFO in obtaining this information because this data also assists the Authority in fulfilling its functions and monitoring the extent to which insurers deliver fair outcomes for financial customers.
The relevant non-life insurers must upload the required information for the period 1 January up to and including 31 December 2024 via the FSCA’s “Conduct of business – data upload facility”.
After logging into the facility, go to “Submission” and select “NFO Claims 2024” from the drop-down menu.
The deadline for submission is 10 March.
Failure to provide the information by the due date is an offence under section 267 of the Financial Sector Regulation Act.
