- Contribute to maintaining an FSP licence;
- Define the role of the key individual;
- Adhere to specific codes of conduct;
- Comply with regulated record-keeping requirements;
- Fulfil the requirements of FICA and the related money laundering and terrorist financing control regulations that apply to FSPs;
- Handle complaints submitted to the FAIS Ombud; and
- Operate effectively as a representative under the FAIS Act.
The training is tailored primarily for representatives working under supervision who are preparing to write the RE exam. It’s also ideal for those considering a career in the financial services industry, or anyone seeking a comprehensive understanding of the FAIS regulatory environment.
As with all its courses and qualifications, MBSE’s RE training is designed for flexibility and accessibility. The course is fully online, allowing you to enrol at any time during the year.
MBSE provides a six-week study plan to guide your learning, which it is recommended you follow. But MBSE understands that “life happening” can sometimes get in the way. That’s why students have 12 months of access to the learning material from their enrolment date.
The training consists of a study guide and assessments, so students can test their understanding of what are learning.

This is why the RE training also includes a series of videos that show students how what they are learning applies in the functioning as a FAIS representative.
