A document entitled, “Policy Document on the requirements for and process with regard to the accreditation of Health Care Brokers and Broker Organisations”, was sent to registered practitioners in the industry last week.
The document deals with Broker Accreditation and other Compliance issues. It is a consolidation of previous circulars, describing the process in terms of which brokers are accredited, legal requirements and references in relation to brokers, fit and proper requirements; remuneration provisions and statutory sanctions applicable to brokers.
The Broker Code of Conduct, which was previously contained in these requirements, was removed as this obligation falls under the general code of conduct, which is regulated by the FSB.
