The June 2015 Date of First Appointment (DOFA) deadline again saw a large number of candidates scurrying to write at the very last minute. Those who failed experienced unnecessary hardship, upheaval and a loss of income.
While the next DOFA appears to be in the distant future, careful planning will help those affected avoid the same problems.
There is a second reason why you should not put off writing as soon as you are ready: Should new legislation or legislative changes be announced, it might have an impact on the questions and learning material of the Regulatory Examinations.
We must caution against writing before you are ready, but at the same time, trying to write as soon as you are, will probably be the best Christmas gift you can give yourself this year.
